...wonderful days in the studio....

Yesterday I painted for hours on end.....which often tends to happen, but yesterday was special for some reason.

I sketched out ideas directly on canvas, was all ready to start it......and then decided to pull a different already drawn up canvas out of the storage room that has been sitting idle for a year.....

and just painted and painted.

I don't where the inspiration came from, or why I just went and did something completely different from where I had started going....

but I had fun, and have felt wonderful since then. It was a much needed break from all the things I have been doing lately.

Onwards to the cold, cold studio........I have a ton of ideas running through my head. I have a new leaf painting I want to do-a wonderful leaf from Central Park that made it's way to Wisconsin.....

but I have several custom paintings (including several fluffy cat portraits and a still life) to finish first, before starting yet another new painting!
